Safety at School

Your teachers care a lot about you.  They will make sure that you are safe at school.  Always obey your teachers and do what they say.  Remember, have fun and learn a lot!

Safety on the Bus

The bus just a big version of your parents van or car.  You always have to remember that when you are on the bus, you have to keep seated. There will be plenty of time for playing at school and home.   when you get on , watch your step.  If another kid is bothering you, sit by another friend. Never run in behind the bus to cross the street. Never accept a ride from anyone without permission from your parents. Wait for the school bus at least ten feet from the road. If you drop something while getting on or off the school bus, tell the bus driver and wait for instructions before picking it up. Never reach or go under the school bus!

School Buses

  1. Never accept a ride from anyone without permission from your parents.

  2. Wait for the school bus at least ten feet from the road.

  4. Alway use the handrails when getting on or off the bus.

  5. If you drop something while getting on or off the school bus, tell the bus driver and wait for instructions before picking it up. Never reach or go under the school bus!

  6. HAVE FUN, YOU ARE KID!

Safety walking to school

Walking or riding your bike to school can be safe and healthy.  You must follow a few simple rules to be safe

Remember, the roads are built for cars, not kids and most drivers are not looking for you.You have watch out for them.

Ride or walk on the right side of the road.Obey the traffic signs and signals.Always pay attention to what is going on around you.

STOP, LOOK and LISTEN when crossing the street.

Always take the safest way home every day and never take a ride from anyone for any reason without permission from your parents.

If someone tries to grab you or hurt you, drop everything and run!!!!!!!!

TIPS: Walking to School

Walking to School

  1. Always walk on the sidewalk. Never in the street.

  2. Always look and listen before crossing the street.

  3. Always cross at intersections.

  4. Obey all the traffic laws and signs

  5. Always take the path that our parents know you use.

  6. Pick a route to and from your school that has lots of lights and houses.

  7. Never use alleys or short cuts through other's yards.

  8. Never accept a ride from anyone your parents haven't approved.

  9. If someone tries to grab you, drop everything and run.

  10. Always tell your parents when you leave and when you get home

  11. don't stop off anywhere you are not supposed to without your parent's permission.

Guns and me

Guns look cool on TV and many cartoon heros have supercool laser guns but rel guns are different.  You can kill yourself or someone else with one.  Remember, even if you are smart enough to find a gun that is hidden does not mean you should touch it.

Remember, if someone shows you a gun or you find one:

DON"T TOUCH

RUN AWAY

TELL AN ADULT

Guns and Me!

  1. If you see a gun or find one, DON'T TOUCH IT!

  2. Run away from the Gun and or person with it!

  3. Tell an adult immediately!

The internet

Using the internet is fun. There are games and cool sites with load of pictures and information.

Unfortunately there are some people out there who use it to sell stuff that is not for kids.

There are also people who use the internet to tell lies. 

Never give out your name to anyone you chat with on the internet. Never meet with anyone you don't know after chatting with them on the internet.

don't use the internet without your parent's help.

There is some great stuff on the internet just be careful and keep your mom and dad involved and informed.

The internet

  1. Never give out your personal information on the internet.

  2. Let your parents help!

  3. Never keep secrets from them about persons you chat with online.

  4. Remember people that you chat with may not be who they say.

  5. Have fun and learn a lot!

The telephone

The telephone is something we all use every day.  Most of the time using it is harmless.

If someone calls you do not know, do not tell them your name.

If they ask to talk to you parents and they are gone, let the person talk to the sitter.

Never tell them that you parents are gone.

Bullies

Sometimes other kids can be tough.  They might try to scare you or make you think they are going to hurt you.

What you want to do is stay away from those kids.  If they won't leave you alone or try to hurt you, Tell your teacher.

If the bully tries to hurt you, defend yourself, then tell your teacher and parents.
