TIPS for Parents!

There are many tools and techniques that can be used by every day folks for protection of their children.  One of the most important things any parent can do is to thoroughly check out anyone that has contact with their child.  The next is to check out the neighborhood that you live in to ensure that there are no child predators living within reasonable distance.

  1. Check out your state-wide list of registered sex offenders.

  2. Check out your local community list of registered sex offenders.

  3. Check out anyone that has contact with your child.  Remember just because you can't find a conviction in your state does not mean the person is clean.

  4. Use your intuition and that of your child.  If either you or the child has any doubt, the person should be taken off the list.

  5. Use your local police and sheriff's department.  They get paid to help and will have more information than you.

  6. If you find someone bad in you or your child's life, tell someone you trust and get away from the person!
